He Will Veto Any Bill With Earmarks...... Give Me a $16 Billion Break.

Mr. President, nice speech!  However, the time for nice speeches is over we need action!
The country is in debt up to it's "eyeballs," not that  China minds, they own most of it and I don't need to tell you what that means. ( Didn't you just have a big state dinner for the communist leader of China?)
 Mr. President, you said, "Because the American people deserve to know that special interests aren't larding up legislation with pet projects, both parties in Congress should know this: if a bill comes to my desk with earmarks inside, I will veto it." Nice touch Mr. President,  but you said that before you became President and while  President. The problem is, you lied, as a matter of fact you signed a bill a couple of weeks ago that contained more than 9000 earmarks, yes more than 9000!  Last year alone you signed bills containing about $16 BILLION in earmarks, yes, Billion! So what  part of your speech should the American people believe?
I heard you say you wanted to freeze spending levels for the next 5 years. Do you want to freeze them at  the current level? In case it may have slipped your mind, the current level of spending has put us so deep in debt some believe we may never get out... Yes, I know you said, "discretionary spending" but it all "Mumbo-Jumbo" and you know it!
 Mr. President, do you even know how much debt the United States is in, do you care, do you understand what this means?
  The talk about the tax code, the service of our young men and women, getting along etc. that was nice but time  for  talk is past it's time for action.

( I wonder...)
I am sure this"nice" speech would have been a lot different if the Republican had not taken over control of the house. I have to wonder...............

State of the Union Address

We don't need any one to tell us what state the union is in,  we need  someone to  help us out of the "state " we're in.
 hint:  Having Dems & Reps sitting together won't "cut it"!
 We do not need  a speech to make us "feel" good, we need a plan, a real plan, to get us back on the "right track". No more "pie in the sky",  mum-bo, jum-bo!

 CUT SPENDING 
 There is  WASTE in our government that could be cut out, PURE and SIMPLE!
  Just DO IT!
The government should not be in the Museum business, Art business and cut . . .  

"• At least $55 billion in annual program overpayments;
• $60 billion for corporate welfare;
• $13 billion on 9,287 earmarks in the recent omnibus spending bill;
• $25 billion in unused federal property;
• $123 billion for programs for which government auditors can find no evidence of success;
• $140 billion in potential budget savings identified in the CBO “Budget Options” books; and
• Massive program duplication, such as the 342 economic development programs, the 130 programs serving the disabled, the 130 programs serving at-risk youth, and the 90 early childhood development programs."

"This time" don't increase spending by the amount, or more,  than was  cut! Savings should be mandated to go toward reducing the debt not new spending! This can be done.

 DRILL FOR OIL

EVERYBODY LIVES UNDER, WITHIN AND BY THE SAME LAWS.
If "it" (whatever,"it" is) is good enough for the people of the United State it is good enough for the people in the government!

 No special rules, no exceptions!!!!!!!!

      With gas prices rising above the $3 mark  while people are still hurting, what is the government doing? One must also ask the media, why are they not asking the questions they asked, almost daily, when George Bush was president?
      The United States has the oil but for some strange reason , "we" expect the rest of the world to supply us! There are people, groups, in the US that don't want the mess  and seem not to care what this is doing to the families of the country. It's time  we took care of ourselves and tell those that would put an animal or plant above the well being of people to step back and put people first.
 In most cases any problems that might be caused, can be solved!
 It's time to start taking care of ourselves!
Yes, it's that simple!

A 40 cal. Bullet Piereced The Kitchen Window

These  pictures are what happens when somebody shoots into your kitchen window. What the pictures don't show are the tiny shards of glass  all over the floor, counters, table, in cups, rugs,  sink  and in my hair! The bullet also hit the wall and ceiling before it came to rest on the floor  less than, 3 inches of where I had been sitting and a foot   from where I was sitting at the time.

People need to be more responsible  for their actions. This irresponsible act landed, at least, one person in jail but it could have put one person  in a coffin. 

Not sure where the other bullets I heard went, I  only felt and saw this one.

" By the way, it is illegal to fire a weapon within 500 feet of a residents, in this county."

$2.99 per gal is NOT CHEAP or is it?

Gas $2.99 per gal, that's a good price these days?

What happen to, "DRILL BABY DRILL"?
 What will it take for this government to "get it"? I know the president said he would like to see gas over $4-$5 a gallon. I am not sure what planet the president is from, just kidding, but  for everyday people this will be a disaster. The president believes that at $4 to $5  a gallon will cause people to get serious about getting the price down  in a variety of ways but that method will hurt a lot of people.. Get real Mr. President!
  I have to wonder if there isn't a real, may be a spiritual, reason Alaska has "one of" the biggest oil reserves in the world. I wonder why the greatest nation in the world doesn't tap into   100% natural  source of power, oil.   100%  Natural!!!!!



 There is no reason the greatest nation in the world needs to go backward  but rather move forward,  somebody  needs to lead the way.....
