Government Spends $2.6 million on Chinese Prostitutes

         

            Washington is spending $2.6 million training Chinese prostitutes to drink more responsibly on the job. This is the kind of wasteful spending President Obama and Congress have stubbornly refused to cut. Instead, they planned to raise taxes on families and entrepreneurs by trillions of dollars!

            The Department of Agriculture  tried to impose a  Christmas trees tax. The revenues "would have" funded a program—hold on—to increase the popularity of Christmas trees.(What happened to the government staying away from   Christmas?) Taxpayers also pay for the marketing and promotion for many other agricultural products including eggs, honey, mangos, and mushrooms through taxes and fees. Leave it to Washington to impose “marketing assessments." These programs cost growers and consumers money and skirt constitutional provisions,  only Congress has the power to tax. They also violate basic principles of free speech, making some producers—and the consumers who ultimately pay to communicate messages against their will.


       
          Evidently the foot room is better if you upgrade your seat! Federal employees cost taxpayers $146 million   when they upgraded to business class flights. The Government Accountability Office found  more than half of these upgrades were not properly authorized. The rest of us have to fly coach and live on a budget—it’s time our government does the same.

            The government has spent $3 billion to re-sand the nation’s beaches. Advocates claim this prevents erosion and keeps the beaches attractive for tourists. But the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says the sand does nothing to prevent erosion—and the added sand is swept out to sea  as easily as existing sand! Regardless . . . taxpayers have" shoveled"  $3 billion into these projects.

            You  can’t make this up! Congress continues to recklessly spend millions of your dollars at a time when we have federal budget deficits! It's hard to believe they haven’t gotten the message yet? Taxpayers have to complain, loudly, very loudly.

Independents seek help from the Republicans

         

           Independents, (politically speaking), want help from  Republicans to save the country! Don't let the Democrat  talking heads tell Republicans, "in order to win the Presidency the Republican nominee  must be able to work with Democrats." Working with "the other side"  in today's political climate is an unwise premise. The leader of the senate, Harry Reed  said he doesn't want to work with the Republicans, I/we are going to work against Republicans.     Republicans, get a back bone, elect the best person for the job of President, do what is right and let the "chips" fall where they may.
            I will say, without apology, the job of the Republican party is to take our country back. Get President Obama out of the highest office of the United States of America
 Democrats, you have a job too, do what is right for your/our country! If you "honestly" believe Obama has helped this country then you have to do what you have to do. But be honest and remember what Obama himself said, if he was unable to turn things around he should not be re elected. Things have not turned around, unemployment is still not under 8% (8%, Obama's own number, he told the people he would get it under 8%) After three years, over a trillion dollars deeper in debt even cooked numbered are not under 8%. I believe by the election the Obama administration will get the number under 8% , don't fall for it......By the way if the unemployment number was .25% the country is still in bad shape and getting worse.

 (This has nothing, what-so-ever to do with race...nothing, "nada", zip," zilks", not happening, don't go there!)

          Don't allow the current President or any future President to take the United States to the brink of a European style nation.
 Stand up and take your country back, don't let anybody call you a racist or nut because you want the UNITED STATES to remain the United States the founding fathers envisioned.

It's Sad What is Happening to this Country....I do not like it, no I don't.....

            What's  happening to the greatest country on earth is sad. All by a man ( Obama) who is in over his head, so far he can't  see it or too inexperienced to know it.    It's possible he believes he is doing good but the fact is he's screwing things up so bad we are at the point where it will takes years and years and years to get this mess straight. I don't mean to say he started all this mess but he jumped in with very little, if any, idea what he is doing. He thought he could make other countries like us by being nice and  saying "we're sorry" for the way the United States has become the greatest peaceful nation in the world. He is wrong, you do not gain other countries respect by bowing down. In the world of today power and strength are the best ways gain and hold respect. Being powerful and strong  you don't need to fight, "most of the time."( Not always by any accounts) Being strong  stops most sane leader from "messing".
           There is always going to be a few "nuts" who believe they can take on anybody or country  and in that case the country needs to be in good shape with  good defense forces. By the way, in case anybody feels the United States wants to take over the world or take countries or oil or other resources look at history. Recent history will be fine........how much oil did we take from the recent countries we helped?

                                             United States to the Rescue

            U.S. Navy destroyer, USS Kidd, responded to a distress call from the captain of the Iranian fishing boat,"Al Molai," the captain or "master"  of the ship claimed he  and his crew were being held captive by pirates in the Arabian Sea. The U.S. Navy team boarded the ship Thursday and detained 15 pirates who had been holding the 13-member Iranian crew hostage  for over 40 days and were using the vessel  for pirating operations in the Gulf. The rescue took place  the week after a week of hostile rhetoric from Iranian leaders and a statement by Iran's Army chief that American vessels are no longer welcome in the Gulf.  Iran also warned it could block the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway that carries to market much of the oil pumped in the Middle East.
          It was not known how long or if the captain of the Iranian  fishing vessel had been calling for help from the Iranian navy.

Obama; Army to be downsized. Unemployment is falling.

        


          President Obama says, the new downsized army will be agile.   Does this scare you! When the Presidents talks, our enemies listen! (Of course if they believe the President as much as the people of the United States there probably isn't going to be a problem.)
The current President faces plenty of problems some of which he has brought on  himself. Call it a lack of experience, socialist views or whatever, it seems when he does something like, reduces the size and strength of the army he broadcasts the facts to the world and when he does something like, lie about the state of unemployment  he hides the facts. I would rather he lie to the world and say, the United States has increased the size of it's army 5 fold and ramping up to kick some butt..... And tell "us" the truth but...........again call it lack of experience or lack of common sense he doesn't get it, he believes,  if we bow down to those that don't like us they will like us or something like that...who really knows how this man thinks?



        On a different note the Administration claim unemployment is going down, down,    down!                                                                                                                         
  Who is cooking the books, the media or the administration? With all the hoopla going on in DC about the falling unemployment rate they fail to mention 170,000 people simply      dropped off the unemployment rolls, not because they found work but they have given up looking.  Of course when unemployment runs out they are taken off the rolls.                   
         Here is an interesting fact about unemployment in November: Working-age adults    not participating in the labor force -- those neither employed nor looking for work - -         increased by 487,000 (in November).                                                                             
         You ask, why or how does the administration  get away with making these erroneous claims about falling unemployment. It's simple, most of the media want this guy, the          President, to look good. Why, you asked? That my friends is a good question. Why           wouldn't the media along with the people of the United States want what is best for the      country/the people?     When all is said and done there are 2 million jobless folks that are not be counted .

           THE SHREW, EXPERIENCED BUSINESSMAN BARACK OBAMA has allowed GM, the United States (Obama) government controlled car company, to move it's EV development to China. It is hard to say at this time how many US jobs will go with the technology that was developed using  taxpayers money. Thank you  Obama, way to go, looking out for the interest of the American people, again!.

         In a nutshell, Obama used your money  to help GM come up with electric car technology. Now Obama has allowed GM to ship that technology as well as jobs overseas to China. Is this the man you want leading your country for the next four years?

** Please note as of this date 1/5/12, the current President hasn't placed blame for this mess on former President Bush. It could be Obama still thinks this was a smart move....I am sure some Americans will differ with the President when China starts importing the cars, tariffs and all  back to the United States!!!

President Obama  appoints a new Czar, for the "good of the people" !!! Who does this man think he is? I mean it, I want an answer:

Seems Mr. Obama  has wanted this czar for sometime now to "over see"( whatever that means) the banking industry.  The senate has not allowed the confirmation to come up for a vote for various reasons. In a trick to circumvent the law Mr. Obama appointed the man while congress was on a short break. There will be debate from all sides on this unconstitutional move by a sitting President with a very low approval rating by the people of the United States. I ask you  to pay attention to what this man is trying to do to  your country, make it his?

President Obama has defied the Senate’s rejection of Dodd-Frank czar Richard Cordray and recess-appointed — just as he threatened last month and just as Soros operatives pushed him to do for months. The White House trumpeted the strong-arm move this morning.

The President nominated Mr. Cordray last summer. Unfortunately, Republicans in the Senate blocked his confirmation. They refused to let the Senate go forward with an up or down vote. It’s not because Republicans think Cordray isn’t qualified for the job, they simply believe that the American public doesn’t need a watchdog at all. Well, we disagree.

And we can’t wait for Republicans in the Senate to act. Now, you might hear some folks across the aisle criticize this “recess appointment.” It’s probably the same folks who don’t think we need a tough consumer watchdog in the first place. Those critics might tell you that Wall Street should write their own rules. Or you might hear them say the American people are better off when everyone is left to fend for themselves. Again, we disagree with those critics.

Refresh your memories on Cordray and the expansive new regulatory powers he will now wield here.

Senate Republicans have vowed to block Cordray or any other candidate for the job until key reforms are made to the sweeping law and its half-billion-dollar enforcement arm, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The common-sense changes include subjecting the CFPB to the congressional appropriations process instead of the Federal Reserve; restoring independent judicial review; ensuring that it takes into account the impact of new rules on the safety and soundness of
financial institutions; and creating a bipartisan oversight board instead of a single director to run the agency.

Obama himself supported such a panel — before he opposed and demagogued it. As it stands, the bureau remains under the Treasury Department. The minute a director is sworn in, the agency will transfer to the fed for administrative purposes, but will effectively have free rein. The Fed’s authority over it is illusory. And it would be impossible for the Dodd-Frank czar to be removed by a change of administration because his term is five years and his tenure protected.

While crusading as a consumer watchdog who’ll take on Wall Street, Cordray (whom voters booted from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office last fall) is tight with securities class-action lawyers. As Daniel Fisher at Forbes Magazine reported, Cordray has a record of “taking money from lawyers who profit from private litigation that often follows closely on the heels of government investigations.” In other words: Exactly the kind of cozy, crony relationships that created our financial crisis in the first place.

As for Cordray’s ability to police shady behavior by others, his own record as Ohio Attorney General raises more doubts than it allays. When local papers spotlighted shady campaign account-shifting involving nearly $800,000, even a liberal Ohio Citizen Action leader responded: “I’m sure he’s following the letter of the law. It’s certainly not following the spirit of the law.”

 It is scary,  this man is taking the country down a path we do not want to go. This country is governed by laws in a system of checks and balances. This country was not set up so the "Leader" could give himself power over the people. It doesn't matter that the current president says , it's for the good of the people! Little Iran is trying to tell the United States what to do and not do.

Iran threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz last week, in response to U.S. and European Union moves to apply sanctions on its oil industry.  21 miles wide at its narrowest point, the strait allows about 28 tanker ships thru the strait per day on average 14 are full, 14 empty. About 17 million barrels of oil go through the strait. If Iran really could close the strait, it would do damage to the world economy. However, it would also damage its own already  economy because Iran relies on the strait to   export oil to China and other customers.
Closing the strait is not nearly as easy as commander of the Iranian Navy Adm. Habibollah Sayari, made it sound. Habibollah said,  closing the strait is "as easy as drinking a glass of water." In fact it wouldn't be easy at all.
Iran tried to close the strait before and failed miserably. *"In 1984, during the Iran-Iraq War, Saddam Hussein attacked Iranian oil tankers and the Iranian oil-processing facility at Kharq Island. Iran struck back by attacking Kuwaiti tankers carrying Iraqi crude and then other tankers in the Persian Gulf. In 1987, after years of growing disruptions in this vital waterway, President Ronald Reagan responded by offering to reflag Kuwaiti tankers with the U.S. flag and provide U.S. naval escort. Iran shied away from direct attacks on U.S. warships but continued sowing mines, staging attacks with small patrol boats, and firing a variety of missiles at tankers.
On April 14, 1988, the guided-missile frigate USS Samuel B. Roberts struck an Iranian mine; no sailors were killed but several were injured and the ship nearly sank. The U.S. Navy responded by launching Operation Praying Mantis, its biggest surface combat action since World War II.
Half a dozen U.S. warships in two separate Surface Action Groups moved in to destroy two Iranian oil platforms. The Iranians responded by sending armed speedboats, frigates and F-4 aircraft to fire at the U.S. warships."

In defending themselves, the American vessels sank at least three Iranian speedboats, one gunboat and one frigate; other Iranian ships and aircraft were damaged. The only major U.S. loss occurred when a Marine Corps Sea Cobra helicopter crashed, apparently by accident, killing two crewmen.
The war all but ended less than three months later when the guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes mistakenly fired a surface-to-air missile at an Iranian passenger airliner that it had mistaken for a fighter jet. The plane was destroyed and 290 people killed. Although this was an accident, the Iranian regime was convinced that Washington was escalating the conflict and decided to reach a truce with Iraq.
The greatest loss suffered by U.S. forces during this whole conflict occurred in 1987 when an Iraqi aircraft fired an Exocet missile that hit the frigate USS Stark, killing 37 sailors and injuring 21. (Saddam Hussein claimed this was an accident.)
The Iranians had little to show for their efforts: Lloyd's of London estimated that the Tanker War resulted in damage to 546 commercial vessels and the deaths of 430 civilian mariners but many of those losses were caused by Iraq, not Iran. While these attacks temporarily disrupted the free passage of oil, they did not come close to closing the strait.
Despite the unveiling of a new antiship cruise missile called the Qader, Iran's conventional naval and air forces—on display during the Veleyat 90 naval exercises in the Persian Gulf which ended Monday— are still no match for the U.S. and its allies in the region. The U.S. alone has in the area two carrier strike groups, an expeditionary strike force (centered around an amphibious assault ship that is in essence a small aircraft carrier), and numerous land-based aircraft at bases such as Al Udied in Qatar, Al Dafra in the United Arab Emirates, and Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The U.S. and our Arab allies (which are equipped with a growing array of modern American-made equipment such as F-15s and F-16s) could use overwhelming force to destroy Iran's conventional naval forces in very short order.
Iran's real ability to disrupt the flow of oil lies in its asymmetric war-fighting capacity. Iran has thousands of mines(and any ship that can carry a mine is by definition a mine-layer), a small number of midget submarines, thousands of small watercraft that could be used in swarm attacks, and antiship cruise missiles. If the Iranians lay mines, it will take a significant amount of time to clear them. It took several months to clear all mines after the Tanker War, but a much shorter period to clear safe passages through the Persian Gulf to and from oil shipping terminals.
Antiship cruise missiles are mobile, yet those can also be found and destroyed. Yono submarines are short-duration threats—they eventually have to come to port for resupply, and when they do they will be sitting ducks. U.S. forces may take losses, as they did with the hits on the USS Stark and Samuel B. Roberts, but they will prevail and in fairly short order.
The Iranians must realize that the balance of forces does not lie in their favor. By initiating hostilities they risk American retaliation against their most prized assets—their covert nuclear-weapons program. The odds are good, then, that the Iranians will not follow through on their saber-rattling threats.
But this heated rhetoric does suggest how worried the Iranians are about the potential impact of fresh sanctions on their oil industry. All the more reason for the Europeans to proceed with those sanctions."
 In other words closing the strait is tough talk but......... if the United States holds on to it's self confidence and doesn't take any"crap" from Iran they won't be able to close it. We can only hope the current Obama administration has enough sense to do the right thing and not bow down to a tiny country.............
